Urfa Biber is the dark maroon colored medium-hot Chili peppers from ‘Urfa city’ near Syrian border in Turkey. These Chili peppers are semi dried by fully ‘sweating at night and sun dried during day’, get dark, purplish black color, smoky and earthy flavor, sweet sun-dried flavor, and a mild lingering heat.

Chili peppers are then ground to a flakes with a small amount of salt (to prevent clumping) and vegetable oil. Mostly added to meats (kebabs, steak, meatballs, roasted chicken), stews, soups, vegetables, rice and beans or added to marinades to add flavor.

Also can be sprinkle it on dips (hummus, baba ghanoush) or salads.
